About

Elena Luppol is a Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor at the Department of Finance and Economic Security of Donetsk National Technical University. She graduated from the same university with honours as an engineer-economist, with a thorough grounding in both engineering and economics.

Her research is the modelling, optimisation and forecasting of financial and economic processes. She develops economic-mathematical methods and models that measure the level of financial and economic security of an industrial enterprise and build scenarios for its further development, and she has worked with the financial and economic data of industrial enterprises for more than five years.

Since 2022 she has been developing software in Java: she completed the Java Developer professional training programme at Skypro, worked on team projects, and continues to grow in the profession.

  • Modelling of financial and economic processes, used to forecast financial and economic indicators and to reach planned results with minimal risk.
  • Development and implementation of economic-mathematical methods and models for the financial and economic security of industrial enterprises: a quantitative assessment of its level, an effective instrument for influencing it, and scenarios for the enterprise’s further development.
  • A points-based system for assessing students’ knowledge that simplified the recording of their achievements and markedly raised their motivation for academic and research work.
  • Supervised more than 100 bachelor’s and specialist graduation theses and master’s dissertations through to successful defence.
  • Winner and multiple prize-winner of the Republican Competition of Graduate Qualification Works in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
  • More than 400 research publications on modelling, optimisation and forecasting of financial and economic processes; participation in more than 100 scientific conferences and symposia.
